Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Response in Arlington, VA. This role offers reliable, flexible hours at a designated site with the option to pick up additional shifts and grow toward a full‑time schedule.

Pay rate is $21.75 per hour. Schedule: DayTime Fridays, 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM. Responsibilities include security procedures, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and completing shift reports to keep the site safe.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• CPR certification preferred
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, common areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and required information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Response in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
