Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to support patrol and access control at a retail location in Sunnyvale, TX. You will provide customer service, deter security incidents, and document observations using our site technology.

Role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform, with duties including monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and performing regular patrols. Prior security experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting policy violations, suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
