Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Preparedness in Arlington, VA to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site with options to pick up extra shifts. You will perform security procedures, patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and prepare clear reports for site leadership.

CPR preferred, HS diploma required, background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Driver's license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, helping to maintain an orderly environment for employees and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Preparedness in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
