Job summary

Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Courtesy Security Officer. You will provide excellent customer service, patrol store areas, deter security incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment while following site policies.

You will work daytime and weekend shifts with a pay rate of $24.16 per hour, and join a team that values reliability, integrity, and community safety. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting store leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, documenting observations and completing required incident reports.
• Control access to restricted areas, assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned, and maintain a visible presence at the location.
