Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in retail and mall locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents calmly following site protocols.
• Deter unauthorized access and theft through professional presence and timely reporting.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist with loss prevention awareness. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet tools to document activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall locations, including sales areas, entrances, common areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and disruptive conduct through a professional presence and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
