Qualifications

• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities and perimeters to identify concerns.
• Respond to incidents and service disruptions in a calm, problem-solving manner following post orders.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and directions while maintaining professional communication with the public.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, transit-site policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, station areas, parking areas, and perimeters to identify and report security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, and public-facing support while maintaining professional communication with diverse members of the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
