Qualifications

• Two years security experience

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures at public transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel/public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report hazards and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs with a professional presence.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to riders, visitors, and staff. Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied University will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
