Allied Universal in Hershey, PA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service. You will verify credentials, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible presence at a food and beverage production location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to client personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, employee entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and vendors in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

3.1 Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to use identification badges for secure entry into facilities. Relevant experience in previous roles or training in security protocols will be considered advantageous.

3.2 Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

Candidates should possess a basic proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing online resources effectively. Familiarity with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) is preferred.

3.3 Customer Service Experience (B219)

Candidates must have prior experience in customer service roles. This includes the ability to communicate effectively with clients, resolve issues, and provide a positive customer experience. Demonstrated skills in handling inquiries and complaints will be essential.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
