Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Troy, MI. You will monitor and deter incidents, provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, and maintain access control records at a manufacturing/industrial site.

The role offers flexible weekend shifts (Sat 7am–3pm, Sun 7am–3pm) with a pay rate of $19.08 per hour. A high school diploma is required, and background checks and drug screening are part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Ages: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while enforcing site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies using established procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Report unusual conditions and security concerns to site leadership or Allied Universal supervision.

Job Schedule:

• Sat - 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun - 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and incident documentation.
• Report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
