Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Presence Patrol in Northport, AL. You will provide unarmed security, monitor designated areas, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role offers evening/night shifts (Thu-Fri-Sat 10:00 PM–06:00 AM) with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour, and opportunities to join a dynamic, caring company that values teamwork and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control, and reporting of unusual or prohibited activity.
• Document incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
