Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Newport News, VA to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required per law where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, documenting observations and notifying relevant personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports, and shift documentation for Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
