Allied Universal® in Monroe, NC is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor and safeguard facilities across manufacturing and industrial locations. You will provide outstanding customer service while patrolling assigned areas and maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license and being at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen are required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity across manufacturing and industrial areas.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle authorization per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, documenting observations and actions.
• Report hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual conditions to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial work areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Report potential hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
