Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Whitsett, NC. You will patrol and monitor assigned areas, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents at a high-tech site.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $16.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document observations, patrol activities, incidents, and shift handoffs accurately; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
