Job summary

Allied Universal in Whitsett, NC is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized access, and provide friendly customer service to employees and visitors.

SCHEDULE: Daytime Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM. Pay rate: $16.89 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors on a tech-focused site.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of offices, lobbies, parking, and exterior grounds.
• Monitor access points and document incidents following site procedures.
• Respond calmly to alarms and emergencies and notify leadership as needed.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain daily activity logs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.


• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems as assigned, following site procedures for credential verification, visitor registration, and incident documentation.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.


• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain daily activity logs, and communicate observations, concerns, and operational updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
