Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Atlanta, GA to provide customer service, deter incidents and maintain a secure environment for tenants and visitors.

You will conduct regular patrols of office buildings and perimeter, monitor access points, respond calmly to incidents, and document events. A HS diploma and security-related experience are preferred, with eligibility for a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and the surrounding property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and prepare accurate incident documentation.
• Maintain a professional presence throughout the property while assisting with tenant requests, enforcing property rules, and supporting a welcoming environment.
