Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Albany, GA. You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, perform patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a safe environment at a commercial real estate location.

This role offers flexible scheduling and a supportive team culture. A high school diploma or GED is required; CPR is preferred, and background checks and a drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and vendor activity in accordance with site policies; provide directions and assistance as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate information to site management.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and vendor activity in accordance with site policies; provide directions and assistance as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and/or shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
