Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening may apply by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points and alarm activity, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and employees. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document observations. Pay Rate: $22.85 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior and/or policy concerns, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting store management, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with site procedures and complete required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
