Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for Palisades, NY. You will patrol campus areas, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Responsibilities include responding to concerns, reporting incidents, and supporting students, staff, and visitors in a safe, professional manner. Flexible evening and overnight shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.

You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and documenting incidents according to site requirements.
• Complete required reports, maintain clear communication with campus contacts and/or emergency responders, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
