Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Northport, AL. This role offers fixed shifts with an anchor schedule and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $16.00 per hour with a schedule that includes DayTime and Saturday evening shifts, designed for flexible, part-time work. The position emphasizes customer service, safety, and adherence to site policies at a healthcare location.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/ or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and access control procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Northport, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
