As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Resolution in Menlo Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people‑first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping maintain an orderly environment for personnel and guests.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while following post orders and applicable procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
