Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Investigation in Menlo Park, CA. You will protect client sites across tech-focused environments, monitor access points, and respond to alarms with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Investigation in Menlo Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access-control and alarm-response activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, timely activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
