Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Manassas, VA to monitor and protect a food and beverage distribution location. You will provide exceptional customer service, perform patrols, and enforce site access control policies, contributing to a reliable and safe team environment.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with overnight shifts, and opportunities to engage with our Shift-claim platform to adjust your hours.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouses, parking lots, and entry points.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel.
• Observe inbound/outbound vehicle activity and report discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following procedures.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, parking lots, loading docks, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized employees, contractors, vendors, and drivers in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, delivery activity, and trailer movement, documenting required information and reporting discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
