Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for campus patrol in Cheyney, PA. You will monitor and protect students, staff, and visitors, maintain a visible security presence, and document activities using tablets or computers.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
