Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Shepherdsville, KY. You will provide customer service, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to deter threats and maintain a safe environment.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a HS diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening where permitted. CPR is a plus and 18+ for unarmed posts (21+ for armed roles).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications site by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity across the facility.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify credentials as directed.
• Document patrols and incidents and communicate findings to leadership and contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site-specific procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
