Qualifications

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with location procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover authorized access credentials, and report discrepancies or unauthorized-entry attempts to the appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established chemical and petrochemical location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
