• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of property areas and report conditions.
• Monitor access to the location and manage entry, deliveries, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document actions per site procedures.
• Prepare daily activity and incident reports for Allied Universal leadership.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Chesapeake, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, observe visitor and vendor activity, and follow established procedures for entry, deliveries, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
