Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced – Driver Patrol Operations in Wilmington, DE. The role offers flexible anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings while building experience across sites.

Pay rate is $18.39 per hour. The position requires a valid driver’s license, >=18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background and drug screening in compliance with laws

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency responses at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations calmly using site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter incidents and report anomalies.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and track visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

DayTimeSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and policy violations accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
