Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Access Patrol in San Francisco, CA. You will patrol, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while supporting a safe, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

This role offers a flexible schedule with shifts and a pay rate of $30.55 per hour, with opportunities to grow within our on-site teams using our Claim a Shift platform. Prior security or customer-service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, perimeter spaces, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify leadership.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, perimeter spaces, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping maintain an orderly environment for employees and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
