Job summary

Allied Universal, Oxford, OH, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide customer service and maintain a visible security presence at a retail/mall location. The role offers flexible shifts and the ability to claim additional hours through our platform, with a pay rate of $16.72 per hour.

As a Part Time Security Officer, you will patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete detailed shift reports while ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and client representatives by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, loading zones, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders and/or management when appropriate.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a busy retail and mall environment.
