Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Fort Mill, SC. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role offers flexible day schedules, including weekend coverage, and uses the Claim a Shift platform to select shifts. You will help deter incidents and respond to alarms in a calm, professional manner.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by enforcing security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and observe activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, documenting observations.
• Observe and report hazards, property damage, and suspicious activity per site procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer locations, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity entering and leaving the property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Observe and report potential hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
