Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver) in Austin, TX. You will provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while conducting routine unarmed patrols and responding to incidents, alarms, and disturbances. A valid driver’s license is required, with background checks and drug testing as per policy.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and report unusual conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and completely while maintaining a professional presence for Allied Universal.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 04:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
