Job summary

Allied Universal in Alvin, TX seeks a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide security services at a designated site. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $14.00 per hour. The fixed shift is Thurs 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, with the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift option allowing additional shifts at other sites. Ideal for building toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• TWIC credential required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, buildings, and access points.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify visitor/contractor authorization.
• Observe and report hazards or security concerns to site personnel.

As a Security Officer Part Time TWIC Required in Alvin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, buildings, access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report hazardous conditions, unusual activity, and potential security-related concerns to appropriate site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
