Job summary

Allied Universal® in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) to protect clients in chemical/petrochemical settings. This role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform and requires a valid driver's license and TSA-issued TWIC.

You will perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding site policies. A $1,000 hiring bonus is included and the position pays $14.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local law.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe personnel, visitor, and vehicle activity per site procedures; report anomalies.
• Document patrols, incidents, and shift activities and relay information to site contacts and leadership.

• Mon 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM
• Tue 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM
• Wed 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM
• Thur 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including buildings, perimeter areas, parking areas, gates, and restricted locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe personnel, visitor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; report unusual conditions and policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
