Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Seattle, WA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Possess TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• A valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal driver policy.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and visitors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail/mall areas, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report hazards or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicating with site management and emergency responders.

Job Schedule: DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 04:30 PM Fri06:30 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, tenant spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with site management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
