Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Driver in Tukwila, WA to protect passengers and property at public transportation facilities. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, provide excellent customer service, and respond calmly to incidents while following site policies and procedures.

This role offers a flexible schedule, a $28.50 per hour pay rate, and opportunities to advance through training and our shift-claiming platform.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

• Prepare clear activity, incident, and patrol reports and maintain professional communication with site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of stations, platforms, transit centers, parking areas, buildings, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing individuals to appropriate resources, and report unauthorized access or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate transit personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
