Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Patrol Radio Communications in Jamaica, NY. You will provide customer service, monitor access, perform patrols, and respond to incidents while upholding our standards of integrity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.

• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, and report unusual activity or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, entrances, common areas, and perimeter.
• Document incidents and patrol activity and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and program participants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, entrances, common areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
