Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Response Patrol in Jamaica, NY. You will monitor and protect client sites, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding our values of teamwork and integrity.

Position type is Part Time with a pay rate of $18.87 per hour. Responsibilities include conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and reporting activity to site leadership.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and program participants while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs for incidents, observations, and patrols, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
