Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Credentials in San Jose, CA. This role offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, enabling higher earnings while maintaining a flexible schedule.

You will support site security operations, respond to incidents, monitor access, and maintain logs. The position pays $23.00 per hour and supports career growth within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related activities, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and changing site conditions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Credentials in San Jose, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Tue11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
