Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to protect government transit facilities. You will patrol sites, deter unauthorized activity, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report hazards, maintenance issues, and policy violations with accurate incident reporting.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and crowd management while maintaining a professional presence.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at government transportation facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit-related areas, entrances, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel, completing accurate activity and incident reports.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and crowd or queue management as assigned while maintaining a professional presence in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
