Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Theft Deterrence in Allentown, PA. You will monitor and patrol the premises, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service at a technology and telecommunications site.

The role offers flexible day shifts and the option to explore new roles via our Claim a Shift platform. Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), HS diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screening required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, offices, equipment areas, parking facilities, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and report unusual conditions to leadership.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, offices, equipment areas, parking facilities, and the perimeter, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
