As a Security Officer Part Time Store Patrol in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring, reliable approach.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help identify and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or potential hazards.
• Document incidents, complete required reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
