Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in West Mifflin, PA. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

The position pays $20.95 per hour and supports a schedule including day and night hours with potential to work up to 40 hours per week. Ideal candidates are at least 18 to work unarmed roles; 21+ for armed positions, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing operations, access points, parking areas, rail or shipping areas, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and maintaining required entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, access‑control activities, and observed conditions, while helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
