Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to protect clients in Summerville, SC. You will patrol offices and perimeters, greet employees and visitors, and enforce site policies while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, documenting observations and escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused office, operations, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, facility concerns, or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery access processes.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while coordinating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
