Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while following site procedures and security policies at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entrances, parking facilities, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and according to procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Experience Patrol Driver in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.93 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entrances, parking facilities, and the property perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
