Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Facility Monitoring in Montgomery, AL. The role provides reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay is $16.30 per hour, with a day schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Candidates should have at least 2 years in security and a high school diploma, and must pass background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exteriors, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and assist with entry/exit procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate concerns to site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Facility Monitoring in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
