Job summary

Allied Universal® in Camden, NJ seeks a Part-Time Security Officer for Secure Entry Operations at a manufacturing/industrial site. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and respond to alarms while providing professional, customer-focused service.

You will maintain a professional presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing access credentials, and communicating entry requirements.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems; report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
