Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Concord, NC. You will monitor access points, screen personnel and belongings, and help identify security concerns at a logistics/distribution location.

Join a responsive team with flexible weekend night shifts, training, and opportunities to grow. A high school diploma and 21+ years of age are required, with background checks and a drug screen per policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include supervisory experience and ability to operate a computer or tablet.
• Experience with alarm panels, X-ray screening, and access control/badge handling is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required by policy and law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel while enforcing site procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and belongings and report suspicious items.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols and document observations of security-related concerns.

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen personnel and/or materials, and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and support site operations through attentive observation and accurate reporting. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with site procedures and report prohibited or suspicious items to site leadership.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and help to deter unauthorized access to shipping, sorting, and warehouse areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, trailer yards, loading areas, and perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Supervisory experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
