Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Enhanced Security Officer in Montgomery, NY. The role offers flexible hours with anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials and processing visitors and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report to leadership as per site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, shipping/receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Report suspicious activity and access concerns to Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in Montgomery, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.92 - $17.92 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors and deliveries, and maintaining accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report suspicious activity, access concerns, and security-related incidents to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
