Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM
• Sun: 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a government location.
• Screen individuals, belongings, packages, and other permitted items using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; report prohibited or questionable items to appropriate personnel.
• Verify credentials, direct visitors to designated areas, and maintain accurate logs of entries, screening activity, incidents, and denied access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
