Job summary

Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to protect people and property at a busy logistics and distribution site. You will monitor access points, screen employees and visitors, and enforce site policies with a calm, professional presence.

This flexible role offers a paid hourly wage of $15.24, a part-time schedule (Wed and Thur nights), on-site work, and pathways to training and career growth within a leading security services company that values integrity

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, packages, and/or other authorized items entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established procedures; report irregularities and prohibited items to appropriate site contacts.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as assigned, and maintain accurate screening and incident records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business and perimeter, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
